One of the great California Chardonnay bargains I've encountered in recent years. It offers the rich, beautiful fruit one expects from California, but it has fine structure and cut. It benefits from some air and was drinking beautifully after 30-45 minutes. A "dinner wine" that will pair well with richer fish preparations, chicken or pork. Excellent.

Alive and well... Buttercup yellow with light floral nose. No oak influence noted. Crisp light fruit...really elegant and pleasing. Should drink well for a few more years from a proper cellar.

Mineral intensity paired with yellow fruit, with a citrusy overtone and some exotic fruit, just a touch, of pineapple. This has great balance and length. Another fine showing from Ramey in a long, long line of fine showings.

Orchard fruit aromas show toast and buttery nuance and complexity - like the scent of freshly made popcorn. The palate is anything but; it's very crisp and lively, showing lovely textures and stone-inflected notes of quince, lemon peel, and an elegant dusting of spices. Another beautiful wine from this venerated producer. 93+

Property owned by the Martinellis and planteded in 1972. Beautifullly expressive fruit / oak / savory nose. Crisp acids, direct and focused. Really quite intense, even as a 2016. So youthful.
