13 years in bottle, no decanting needed. Made of tempranillo (of course), Merlot & Cabernet (exciting)
The nose: Big powerful one. Chocolate, coffee, plum, blackberry - juicy fruits to smell - vanilla and oak.
The palate: The juicy dark fruits continue very strong. Blackberry, plum, black cherry. Picked up chocolate, vanilla and a little burnt oak. A slightly earthy nose as well, but not much. I think that the producer got it spot on the the tempranillo, Merlot and Cabernet. Great balance and you really taste the power of all three grapes.
Medium Tannin Medium acidity Medium body
Could wish i had a second bottle to open in 10 years, because this one is very very great now, but would be funny to see how it comes out in 10-15 years
With no problem, you can open your bottles at this age and the next 5 years. Maybe it holds till 2030, but again - would be funny to visit this in 10-15 years = 97 points

Very dark. Nose has, vanilla, spice, black fruit. Very well concentrated with spicy dark fruit, medium+ body, no heaviness. smoky dark fruit with ripe tannin and refreshing acid. Not yet half way through its life. A very good value.

Just why this is so cheap I have no idea. Ochoa make very good wines, and their Gran Reserva is the best of them. 2010 is the best recent vintage. A slightly modern style. Slick ripe fruit. Rich, dark, almost hedonistic Cabernet-Merlot-Tempranillo blend, dobs of vanilla oak wrapping it all up nicely. Fresh though, and fragrant, and with plenty of Navarra typicity of wild strawberries. Amazing value. Load up!

Very dark. Plummy, vanilla. Acid and tannin remind the drinker of the Old World,, despite the New World flavours. Not knocked out by this ce soir.
