  Upon opening this was disappointing to the point where we were close to pouring it down the drain. Tobacco and pepper dominated any black fruit taste and what fruit taste there was was not very pleasant to us. It tasted like a bad, hot, over alcoholed zinfandel. For some reason we decided to try it again after it was open for a day and it improved vastly. The cherry and black fruits took over and the tobacco and pepper was in the background. 88 score based on day two. This certainly should be decanted and likely will get better with age. Label says good for 10 years. May buy a couple more.

  medium to full bodied, a little strong alcohol gave it a slightly hard finish, berry flavors. After two days open, improved considerably- much richer and jammy. recommend holding for several years or decanting before serving

  Ruby/Garnet in the glass, inviting plum, spice and oak nose, complex flavors, pleasant earthiness elegance from pino and the spice and depth of hermitage, this is a fine alternative to cabernet.
