Italian Wine Scholar Class at the Texas Wine School. 70% Corvina and 30% Rondinella. Pale ruby - garnet. Med to med + nose, with aromas of ripe cherry, candied red fruit, thyme, clove. Surprisingly spicy, considering it sees no oak. The palate is dry, with a little RS, med acidity, tannins and alcohol (12.5%). Med flavor intensity and length with a slightly bitter finish. Juicy and generous. Drink now, not intended for further aging. A super value.

Smoke, rustic leather nose. Tobacco, bramble fruit, cocoa, herbs, capsicum. Light body with some mild tannins and medium finish. Zippy. The bottle features a glass stopper (!) rather than cork or a screw top.

7 Days in Italy II; 2/17/2019-2/23/2019: 70% Corvina, 30% Rondinella. Malo with primary. 6g/l @ 12.5%ABV. Meant to be a lighter (lower ABV) and more elegant style. Gianfranco—->Gianfre——>Nanfre. Some spice, some pepper, some sauvage. ‘Arugula and mint in the vineyard, make their way into the wine. More wild red fruit aromas. 4–6m in stainless. Medium body, fresh and stoney lift. VG.
