Was craving a Rioja and this wine is so typically Rioja it really hit the spot!
Traditional nose of worn belt leather, semi-sweet chocolate, oregano, attic dust and black cherry.
On the palate this wine shows racy acidity, extremely well-integrated tannins and rounded tannins. Although it will hold for several more years, I think this wine is at its peak.
Flavours of red and black cherry, bitter plum, black pepper and leather.
Long finish really shows some spice.
