  • Pale golden colour, smells of quince, freshly cut grass and lovage with a little bit of wet stone/minerality in the background, medium body, dry, but not in a tart way, has a nice creaminess, medium acidity, in the mouth quince and lovage, in the aftertaste quince and acidity, good length (15 sec), really good Riesling.

  • Colour between pale yellow and pale golden, smells mildly of quince and lovage, with some minerality in the background (even the second glass doesn’t smell more intensely), the first glass has a little bit of acidity, the second glass has a nice and crisp acidity, dry, but not in a harsh way, medium body, in the mouth quince, apricot and a little bit of lovage, in the aftertaste apricot, a little bit of quince and acidity, good length (15 sec), good Riesling, needs time to open up. I guess it’s still too young. It needs at least another year to mature further.

  • Pale lemon colour. Light nose with green apples, lemon, peach and minerals. Medium taste of green apples, lemon, peach and minerals. Long and dry finish. High acidity. Medium body. A very good Trocken Riesling. Goes well with fish or shellfish.

  • At Schwarzes Häuschen, Domäne Steinberg, Eltville. Beautiful setting. The wine was light yellow-green in colour and offered stone fruit and citrus flavours, with a touch of residual sugar, fresh, lively acidity and average to short length. Basic, but refreshing.
