On the nose papaya, lemon curd, a little sea air. All quite fresh despite the ripeness. Similar story on the palate with a delicious tanginess to the fruit and a hint of coconut. Again all very balanced and long finish. Yum

Although PYCM did a decent job in this vintage, the vintage is a flat out avoid for white burgundy. This had a bit more balance than the other higher level PYCM's. No reason to pay a premium for the 1st and grand cru wines.

PYCM Tasting with Pierre-Yves (Chassagne-Montrachet): A more obvious and forward aroma with rich, nutty white fruit. A nice fat and round mouthfeel. Good freshness and solidly Meursault in character. 89+
