First time with Godme. This bottle was boasting an impressive 10 years on the lees - concentrated red and yellow fruit, more in the oxidative style of say Selosse but with clear distinction in the house's style. I was surprised how open knit it was, I was expecting something more austere given no dosage. At the price point, this is really serious stuff.

Bought at the domaine. This is a great grower champagne. 5 Years on the lees, some (older) wood used. Very vinous, would make a great compagnon to fish in salt crust.

A little hard to read the disgorgement date, the print stamp a little smudged but I think it says 03-18 and with at least five years ”en cave” that should mean base year 2012 or earlier.
A very nice champagne, the time on lees and oak component adding depth and complexity to what is otherwise a fresh and mineral champagne. Raspberry, lemon, red currant, chalk, toast. Very dry and could probably carry a tiny dosage quite well but I like it how it is.

Bistro La Franquette seven course wine pairing (Montreal, Quebec): Tasting menu and wine pairing at Bistro La Franquette in Montreal. Paired with beef tartar. Very nice start to the dinner and good pairing! Brad - heavypourwine.com
