  • Upon opening: sharp, lemon leaf and grilled lemon, green apple, slivered almonds, chocolate. Certainly wood, and its porosity, have left an imprint on the glycerin here. It's a conspiracy of spice. Nutmeg, pine salt, like angry Ungeheuer under palm thatch. Sweaty lemons. Cinnamon brine. Pea vanilla. Legs, furiously pumping. Sour Meursault from a warm summer and a crisp harvest. I just happened to leave this bottle open over 48 hours and I like it more with every passing hour. It's gaining equilibrium and poise; the cellar is integrating into the body of the fruit. The texture becomes glossy which sets up the eruption of sweet, ripe, salty acids in a stirring way. No trace of oxidation, nothing is diminished. The remains won't last another day.
