Somehow lost in the cellar, this bottle showed pronounced browning of the color--more amber than gold/yellow. Oxidized aromas, but not off-putting. Tasted like what I imagine a low-alcohol sherry might. Interesting.

Very big wine. Huge fruit and fair amount of oak, with bracing acidity to match. In your face. Yet, despite all that, somehow manages to pull it off and come off with balance. Not my favorite Chardonnay, but a memorable and impressive bottle for being so showy without being uneven.

Pretty nose of yellow fruit and lemon. Same in a rather full body that's very balanced with nice acidity. Will probably get better.
