Tasted via corivan alongside La Digoine. Hue here is a tough more purple in the otherwise vibrant and glowing ruby color. Some subtle signs of age on the rims. The nose here is really extraordinary and very impressive. Open and perfumed. Wild berries, spice, notes of distant wood smoke, rose and violet florals. Much spicier than the Digoine which was more fruit driven. Clear use of whole bunch here. On the palate, this is a bit silkier, with softer tannins and maybe more overall balance. Medium bodied with integrated but high acidity and ripe tannins. A long and spicy red fruited finish. This is incredibly impressive for the Chalonnaise and terrific QPR. In a wonderful place right now.

Notes from memory. This was savory, rustic yet good fruit delineation, well balanced, and nice depth on the palate and finish. Great QPR. Drink 2023-2030. Technical score: 92. Enjoyment score: 94.

A great Burgundy by a great winemaker. Nose shows fresh black fruit, a little bit of earthy funk, slight candied note. On the palate, this wine is light and airy, vibrant and complex. A little oak spice and sweetness on the finish, but oak is very lightly used, if any new is used. Im beginning to doubt Kermit Lynch has any bad wines. Really stunning

Has a bit of reductiviness to it. Or smoke and spice. Then black cherry and earth. Palate also has that medicinal earth and a touch bitter across the mid palate. Finish is long. Not to my liking and certainly not at around $45. May resolve in time. Youthful.

Lovely fruit and balance. though it lacks the complexity of nose and palate of the best Burgundy it's the real thing. Drink or hold.
