Holy crap the best QPR I've had in more than six months. Blueberry on the nose and on the attack along with some black fruit on the attack. The black fruit continues on the mid palate where there's also some meatiness, though not the classic Rhone bacon fat. Maybe a streak of bright red fruit in the mid palate as well. Moderate tannins. The finish is good though not great. The fruitiness makes it seem slightly sweet which is maybe its biggest flaw. I will definitely look for more Edna Valley syrah.

Wow. This would put some coastal Syrahs to shame...delicious, cool climate, high acid, smoke, meat, deliciousness. Go to it...
