Pale gold in color. Not particularly expressive on the nose, though there is white flowers and peaches coming through. The palate is quite another matter, showing apricots, white peaches, honey, white pepper, crushed stone, and just a hint of bitter almonds. It’s full bodied in the mouth with some rather nice mineral notes, with just enough acidity to keep it from feeling flabby. Quite tasty, and noticeably better on the second day.

Light to medium yellow (more than expected given age - kept in poor conditions for a year); peach and vanilla in the nose; rich body, some sweetness, very little acidity; straightforward, quite tasty, but also a bit on the dull side - could be better with more acidity and nuances; nevertheless quite agreeable

Nice medium yellow-gold colour. On the nose, aromas of pears, peaches, flowers and a touch of pineapple and spices. On the palate, the attack is frank, luscious, with the medley of orchard fruit mentioned above with a nice roundness, a good lift and a very good length with a mineral-bitter final. This is still really good, though clearly riper than last time. As per the recommendation of the owners of La Nerthe, this white is best within the first four years of its existence, then again towards 6-8 years of age. This is my last 2018, though I have a few 2015s and 2016s to taste closer to 7-8 years of age. I'm really fond of this - will buy again. 91

Eric supplied this beauty for our Xmen blind tasting last nite. Opened from cellar, and seemed a bit thin, with not much on the nose or palate--had me thinking pinot blanc. Tasted later and the wine had opened up considerably. White flowers, honeysuckle and peach aromas on the nose, palate was medium bodied, with white stone fruits, and very crisp acidity and a stony, slate minerality that lingered for a lengthy period on the finish. There's oak here but very well-integrated such that I didn't really notice it. Same re the 13.5% alcohol--the wine doesn't seem at all hot. I thought this to be either a white bordeaux with some semillon in the blend which would account for its viscosity; or a chablis, given the stony minerality that I found to be the overwhelmingly noticeable characteristic of this wine. RF pinned it out for what it was. A lovely, enjoyable, complex and interesting wine. Bravo!

Got quite a bit more acid this time around. Fairly sharp citrus, a bit less pear / orchard from the Roussane. Still excellent and well-made.
