Olive oil, marzipan, vanilla, and fresh herbs. Not a super fruity wine, but I do get green apple, dried pineapple, and lots of lemon on the finish. Lots of sea air, but sweet, like salt water taffy. This is really good for $13. Great match with Rice cooked in squid ink broth. The saltiness of the wine really paired nicely with the salty rice.

Grassy aroma. Slick on the tongue (lots of body), yet finishes dry. Asian pear. Really lovely with some dry fermented chorizo; it accentuates and sweetens the flavor of the sausage.

This was incredible! Not fully into the nutty, oxidative Rioja Blanco camp, and not fully into the crisp, lean Rioja Blanco camp. Perfectly straddled that line. Incredibly floral and peachy on the nose, but the palate showed marzipan, dried pineapple, and lively acidity. Could probably go 5+ years, but it is drinking so beautifully now.

My second go with this was a good deal better than the last. This bottle showed more expression and complexity. A nice waxy guava quality supported by citrus. Lively acidity. More robust fruit on the palate. This held my interest.

approachable in the usual fruity floral way, but beautifully elegant, carries so much extract for $13.
