    Pale metallic yellow
Generous flowery Riesling aroma, minerality behind without spoiling the freshness
Harmonious palate, hA, m-B, semisweet, flowery and fruity with a firm kernel, long finish.

  • Decant for 30 min. Right in the zone with bright fruit, a touch of sweetness, and just enough acid without too much zing. Well balanced and enjoyable right now.

  • A very nice wine. Mouth-watering moderate acidity combined with a moderate sugar level resulting in a good balance. Notes of slightly smoky minerals, peach, citrus with an aromatic touch. Would expect the aromas to get deeper in the coming years, but excellent already today. 2018 was a hot year with early ripening and harvest. Maybe the temperatures contributed to the nice, but for WS uncommon, slightly aromatic touch.

  • RPHC described it brilliantly. The cork was in better shape than its same vintage counterpart Graacher Himmelreich Spatlese. While this was slow ox'd only for 30 mins on ice in a large dining hall with blazing summer heat outside, the wine's richness (concentrated fruit) slowly faded over time with temperature, richer/spicy seafood, and good company. Upon release this would have been too much, but now it is starting to be quite remarkable, and even better with additional cellaring.

  • On the nose: Peaches, the typical riesling nose, exotic fruits, rubber.
On the palate: Perfect balance between acidity and sweetness. Peach, passion fruit mixed with fine lemon peel.
    Long finish
