I can see this wine not being for everyone but I enjoyed it, certainly more than the 2017 vintage. Medium purple color. Nose is mostly tart cranberry and pomegranate with some herbs mixed in. Very fresh smelling, almost a little grapey. Medium body and tannin but lots of acidity. Definitely more of a food wine than a sipping wine. Served slightly chilled.

Purple ink, overwhelming tannins, tart fruits. Really not enjoyable and I don’t know if it will ever be. Likely the worst collab ever to come out of Brian McClintic’s Viticole Wine franchise...
Via Viticole: Dark fruit gives way to earthy, peppery nuances and crushing tannin (a hallmark of most Northern French reds in 2018). Pure energy in the mid palate, this is a monstrously serious Mondeuse that will need time to unwind and show its softer side. 2025-2040

Very light and fresh considering how dark it is. Perfect for a Texas bbq lunch. Crunchy, dark fruit, pepper and coffee grinds on a medium bodied frame and high carbonic fermentation factor. Drink slightly chilled I say.

This just isn’t good. Bright, crunchy, and funky - but none of these in a good way.
