Appearance - Pale lemon-green. Clear Aromas - Clean. Medium intensity that show primary flavors of floral (citrus blossoms, jasmine), citrus fruit (lemon, lime juice, orange peel), stone fruit (unripe apricot, unripe peach), pungent spice/herb (juniper), wet stones, salt, and flint. There is perhaps a bit of bitter green almond in the nose and palate. But not indicative of lees (maybe just a varietal character or skin?). Palate - No secondary or tertiary flavors, no signs of MLF. Dry, med(+) or high acidity, med(+) intensity, med bodied, med alco, med+ finish. Conclusion - Very Good, drink now or over the next 2-3 years.
Low winemaking influence that allows the wine to express the character of the varietal (Riesling, Muscadet, PicPoul, SauvB, Albarino, Assyrtiko, Torrontes). Not a textural grape. Fruit is a bit unripe (cooler climate, picked early, cool year) and not indicative of classic riper fruit profiles, there is no real signs of lees contact, there is a pungent herb/bitterness. Unripe sour citrus fruit (Aussie?). The first guess was Clare Valley, Riesling, and also considered Picpoul (too much flavor) and Torrontes (not ripe enough).

Wine Foundations with MW Pomeroy (Tasted Blind); 8/27/2020-9/24/2020 (Home): Tasted blind. Correctly identified as Riesling (incorrect on thinking Clare Valley).
