  • Limited notes...another year or two to improve.
Dark fruit...berries, leather, barnyard. Full and rich, structured and dark. Some strawberry jam...medium finish on sour cherries. 92-

  • This really blossomed on day two. On day one it showed a bit boozy and rough edged. Once it opened up on the second day, it was a completely different wine. The red fruit in nature of the wine shows through so much more with dark red cherries, raspberries, dark, red berries, licorice rock and spices, bitter chocolate, and a bit of crushed rocks. The full body fuel is youthful and intense with crisp, medium+ acidity and youthful, high tannins. This really could use a few more years of aging and likely up to 4+ more years to show its best. That said the underlying material is excellent and this really becomes a much different wine with air.

  • I decanted the entire bottle for one hour on 7/31, and returned it to the bottle for service.

On 8/1, I expected the wine to be oxidized. However, the aroma was still fresh, and perhaps a bit better.

Immediate notes of black pepper, macerated black cherry, blueberry and black raspberry with an undercurrent of leather and tobacco.

While I didn’t take any notes on 7/31, I do recall thinking that the alcohol was too prominent. On the following day, I did not have that impression.

On the palate, this has juicy acidity and fine-grained tannins. The finish is moderately long.

For now, this wine is very good with a long decant. I will try the next bottle in a few years.

  • Dark garnet in colour, little heat even with 14% alc. Floral nose, fruity, wood lots of oak. Great palate, but a little on the lighter side – I would like/expect more fruit, may need more time. Good length though

  • A Monday evening in Singapore so let s pop a bottle. Medium purple Color. Some deposit in glass. A very warm nose (high alcohol), black cherries, black currant, some pepper and smoke. Med acidity, full body, high alcohol, Med flavor intensity, Med tannins, Med- finish. Black fruits, pepper and spices, a bit of earthiness, but not lasting very Long in the mouth. Easy drinking wine but nothing special and a bit expensive for what it is. Not convinced.
