Francois Cotat tasting 1999-2020 (Utregs Wijnhuis, Utrecht, NL): Tasted twice over the course over the evening and the second glass was much better after 2 hours of air, especially on the palate. Rounder than Les Culs at this moment with dried flowers, pear, nectarine, chalky, waxy, herbs. High acidity

PnP, consumed over 2 hours. Appearance: Clear, medium lemon. Nose: Clean, medium intensity with aromas of lemon peel, melon rind, saline, and wet stone with subtle bell pepper notes. Palate: Dry, medium+ acid, medium body, medium+ intensity, 13% abv with flavors of tart pear, melon rind, lemon peel, and saline with a medium+ finish. Overall an excellent wine across the board with no weaknesses. Drinking well upon opening, drink now or over next 3 years.

Much crisper and drier than I had anticipated from François Cotat in a warm vintage like 2018. I really like the angularity and the palpable chalky minerality, the fruit is in the peach and nectarine register with a hint of pyrazines, length is very good. At restaurant Bambino, Amsterdam, NL.

Not as fresh as previous bottles, lacking the crisp energy, perhaps a bit off?
