Lemon curd, acidity is perfectly balanced, there was a really interesting spicy note as well - unusual for a Chardonnay - almost like nutmeg. Really good wine and in a great place right now.

Color is still pale straw, and doesn't show much visible age. Likewise, it drank a bit tight and young. There was just the tiniest hint of the butterscotchy flavors of age emerging, but you had to search for it. It seemed surprisingly tight overall

Even decanted, this didn’t offer up as much as I anticipated. But the intensity of the apple notes shown through. Other than the bouquet and the one note on the palate, the wine was tight and not as layered as I anticipated. The mouthfeel is still bit linear. And that I had a scratchy throat and coming down with something may been an issue as well. Maybe best to give this another six months and then take a data point. 11.6% alc.(!) With roasted French onion soup. 05.25.23. Recommended.

Pear, lemon nose subdued but very nice. Light gold in color. Palate—modestly creamy body balanced well with M- acidity. Lemon, pear, a touch saline. Very light overall and dangerously sippable. Excellent qpr. Imo this is in the zone. With time in the decanter, some nice terroir exhibition comes out with some limestone chalky vibes.
