My first German Riesling in a while - Dr Loosen Estate Riesling. 8.5% Abv and £11.99 from Waitrose.
Nose: typical Riesling aromas. Apricot, peach, stone fruit, possibly a hint of petroleum.
Taste: fresh, dry but sweet with decent (but not overpowering!) acidity. Flavours of peach, apple, apricot and melon. Mix with citrus - lime and a hint of honey

8.5% vol Very pale Grapefruit and spritzy nose, cool and very fresh with some floral peach. Delicate, pretty and lifted. Spritzy attack, off-dry edge, with lively acidity and some salty elements to the slatey minerals. Clean, energetic and fun!
A little like the MFR Classic - thoroughly enjoyable, uncomplicated and inexpensive!

Floral nose with hint of petroleum. Crisp acidity with a slight sweetness that paired nicely with a Chinese.

clean and fresh, hint of sweetness balanced by limey acidity, quite simple but refreshing quaffing wine, especially at 8.5% abv
