  • It was good, but I didn’t find it very special. It lacked the focus of the best grand cru Chablis.

Tasted at Pujol (CDMX), where the waiter declared it was his favorite wine on the entire big wine list.

  • By the glass. Keep its status intact, west part of Vaudésir neighbor to Preuses, thankfully for that mineral touch that impregnated nose and mouth. Also density and length sounded as positive aspects on the palate. Rather citrus than mineral I said.

  • French white wine from Chablis: Chardonnay. 13 % alcohol. Aged in stainless steel vats (3/4) and in 1 to 5-year-old oak barrels (1/4) for 10 months and final ageing in stainless steel vats on fine lees for 6 months.

    Light golden color.

Powerful and delicate aromas of sea, pears, exotic fruit, honey, lemon, exotic spices and minerals. Somewhat unripe flavors of lime, white flowers, pear, crushed grape seeds, honey, exotic spices and vanilla. Minerality in the background.

Dry. Medium body. Fresh acidity. Excellent balance. Very good structure. Complex. Very elegant.

Long finish with lemon and sea.

The wine is unripe at opening. It improves substantially with air and gets better when it warms up towards room temperature. During the night it transforms into a great wine. Airy, elegant and fresh. I presume it will be outstanding after a few years of aging but it’s already a great wine. 96/100

  • Pear and oak notes with a medium finish, I think this must be one of the most delicate and well balanced whites (as well as being the priciest!) we have had in Malaysia over the past 3 years.

Its a Moutone from Chablis in Burgundy... thanks for the generous treat KN, on the occasion of his 51st birthday. More like a 3.9 Star simply due to his high price point, which kinda made me expect more whilst it turned out be more delicate and discrete!
