  • Medium to full body. Inital nose has oak and subtle fruit. So coco too, yet quite close. Took a bit more than 1 hour to open up bit. Soft tannins. Long aftertaste. Noticeable trace of Cabernet. Color is deep close to purple. Not a bad wine but may be Merlot is not my cup of tea I find this wine just slightly better than ordinary.

  • £11 a bottle gives you some serious quality here. Deep notes of pepper, spices and note on the nose - in the mouth really good tangy fruit with balance that is drinking reallly well right now - long follow through but with a nice feeling on the back of the tongue. Half way between rustic and classic. I buy this regularly and I'm never disappointed. Good stuff.
