Drank with a two hour plus decant. It opens with smoky notes with deep strawberry and rich earth. Perfectly balanced with a polished finish. In a great spot but should continue to evolve.

Slow ox 2 hours drank over 3 nights. This is a very big full bodied grenache elixir. Floral, strawberry, and bright red fruits are in the foreground. Earthy wet clay in the background. Moderate acidity and round soft tannins. Better with a braised or roast leg of lamb.

Decanted >1 hour. Paired against a Paso 19 Booker Ripper. 2 very different Grenache’s. GOK had much more mushroom and forest floor than previous tastings of this vintage. Big and bold, this was delicious.

Something is off with this bottle, as others have noted. It’s some sort of smoky note, vegetal, that detracts from the wine. Not like the vegetal quality of a cab franc. This wine is flawed.
