Crab Risotto and a Chardy party (My place, Portland OR): This was a pop and pour and it really needed air and/or time in bottle. There is still a lot going on here as the nose is fresh and vibrant with green apples, pears, white flowers, white fruits, salt notes, saline, daffodils, vanilla beans, and crushed rocks. The Medium bodied feel is well balanced while the crisp, medium+ acidity does have a bit of sting to it right now. This likely needs another 3 years to fully come together, though there is a lot to like already.

Honey, white flowers and something like anise seed on the nose. More citrus in the palate, but still a lot of honey there. Very nice, maybe a bit too much with the sweetness. I’ve had this before and don’t remember finding it so sweet, so might be this bottle. 89-90?

Didn't enjoy this as much as previous bottles (different vintages) I've tried. For being so young, it seemed to be quite honeyed…which for me naturally leads me to think of age/oxidation. But, that said, it is a vibrant Chardonnay with a distinct character. Perhaps it will be much better after another few years of bottle age.

I found the sharp sulphur like acidity that dominates this wine wearing. It masked any fruit or complexity and left me disappointed. I don't think it will improve with aging.
