  • Pronounced nose of bramble and cherry. On the palate there is a complex combination of red and black fruit , though that bramble feature is to the fore. Although there is high alcohol, it is well balanced with the freshness from its acidity and the fruitiness of the wine. The tannins have softened to produce a well-structured, well-balanced and delicious wine.

  • 90-91. Nice blackfruit and cherry with a little of other berries ( strawberry , blueberry). Finish is a little dry and acid but the wine seems better than last time and better after two hours of aeration . So probably best to wait a year or two to taste next bottle .

  • Nice fruits upfront , mostly blackberry and cherry. The mouth is a little dry and the finish austere to be a 91-92 wine.

  • What a nice surprise. Although it is still young, other than some nice bright red fruit, the nose and palate were surprisingly refined, with some nice secondary notes of minerals and some spice even. Is as one would expect quite high in alcohol, and the tannins are there, but relatively restrained. Suspect this will get better too. Very good PQR in my mind. An it's a producer that is practicing organic and biodynamic farming. It may well be just me projecting, but I do think I taste a cleaner more precise wine when it's farmed this way. And a big thank you to Hi Times wine cellars in Costa Messa. They are now labelling wines on as Organic or Bio, and most importantly they are differentiating between those that "practise" organic and/or Biodynmaic farming, from those that are fully certified. And they list which body did the certification. Excellent. I just wish more wine stores would follow this practice.
