Sagrantino from Swan Hill, Australia. Dark garnet colour. Generous nose of spices, black fruit and a little lavender. Palate rich and full, blackberry and blueberry, savoury salty mineral notes and grippy tannins, finishing long with chocolate and smoke. Not as ripe as the 12 but a lovely wine. Drinking well now after 9 years.
