  • The group liked it and pegged it as old world Chardonnay pretty quickly.

  • Very nice showing for a village level. Rich nose of sea breeze, lemon and honeysuckle which dissipates rather quickly.

The acidity has settled down nicely compared to previous tastings several years ago and still maintains ever so slightly the upper hand. Mouth covering minerality which succeeds to a bitter and long lasting sensation. In the initial pour there was a hint of oily character which did not reappear on successional samplings over the next 3 hours.

Drink up as I don't believe any further cellaring will add to its complexity and/or texture.

  • smell of lemon, citrus, white fruit, flower
Acidity is medium and not enough freshnes for what you expect for a Chablis
    Medium body, long enough
I think this wine is seriously missing tension and might not aged well
    Drink within 2-3 years

  • Oyster shells with saline and bitter notes. A rich and even close to oily Chablis, which kept nevertheless a good freshness for this hot vintage. Drink now and/or over the next 2-3 years.

  • A: Medium lemon
N: pronounced nose of cheese, yeast, Meyer lemon, kumquat, yellow apple, whiff of honeysuckle and wet rock, STARFRUIT.
P: Dry, high acidity, medium alcohol, medium body, pronounced intensity and medium (+) finish
C: This has plenty of aromatics and wonderful crisp acidity to balance it. Optimal intensity on both palate and nose gives way to a long finish. However, the wine lacks complexity. Very good quality wine here.

Suitable for ageing with acid and plenty of fresh fruit (primary) and cheese/yoghurt, yeast (MLF typical in Chablis and perhaps some lees age) to develop into something even more interesting.

    I'm a fan!
