Coming from a ripe year in the region, this is a "big" wine for the Finger Lakes. There's a lot of sweet cherry candy and plum on thee nose, with coffee bean and black pepper. On the palate the red fruit continues, it's ripe, and shows a lot of influence of new oak (vanilla, coffee). But even with the oak treatment, very much balanced and admirable length.

A decent merlot, but nothing to get excited about. I don't this this varietal is particularly suited to the Finger Lakes. This offering is thin and a bit insipid. However, there still is some "there" there, suggesting that as vines age, there might be some promise. For a casual bottle of wine at a picnic or such occasion, it might be fine. But, for the more "serious" wine drinker this is likely a pass.

Very light for a (traditional) cab franc. Nice ripe black fruit. Did ok with a steak. Musty nose, very nice. Drank like a good California Merlot. Very enjoyable.

Very pleasant and easy to drink. Lost fruit over the hour or so it was open. Went OK with mild italian sausage
