1st of 3 bottles purchased on relase from the winery, ~90 mins slow ox. Interesting nose shows sour red cherries, smoke, clay and cigar. Plenty of soft and well-resolved tannins provide a dry, lengthy finish and lots of backbone. This packs a genteel punch in its resolve and depth of fruit that comes across much darker than id have gathered from the nose.
While I have long been a Dumol fan, I have a little experience with Jentoff and have to imagine this is just beginning to enter the heart of its drinking window.
Cheers

Blood orange big time! Lot as of good intensity of flavor. Mouth feel is silky and full but not heavy ! Needs a few years (2) to find its self. This is a unique Ryan at this stage but I am anticipating an improvement in the near future.

Pop and pour into a decanter. In the glass, youthful magenta at the rim, shading to deep violet-red at the core. On the nose, raspberries, cherries, and restrained spice mated with a silky, lush texture, rolling into a smooth, balanced finish. The Ryan always delivers, year in and year out.

Best of the DuMol 2017 Pinots in my opinion. Punchy blue fruits with slightly spicy element, nice balance and a great finish. Has an excellent structure and the stuffing to go another year or two, but to my liking right now, with a bit of air. Bravo DuMol.

Medium body, dark robe. Some slight unintegrated wood and tannin, which did not appear in the 2018 we compared side by side.
