Herbaceous, thin, lacking finish, complexity… I think the winemaker should stick to the Rhône varietals that truly distinguish the winery from its neighbors… Leave Cabernet Sauvignon as a blending grape like in the TLB or as a single varietal best made by Beckmen’s northern neighbors in Napa, Sonoma, and Columbia River Valley in Washington… This is nice, but not at the price— it’s no way a great expression of Cabernet Sauvignon. Give me Beckmen Syrah. Grenache, and Mourvèdre- thanks- Oh and I’ll happily quaff down Grenache blanc by Beckmen any day of the week.

Perhaps a little young, as it was better night #2.
