Beautiful aged pinot nose, soft red fruit and earthiness on the palate, finishes with just a hint of iron that suggests it's nearing the end of its ideal drinking window. Very nice.

Served blind in a tasting of 13 pinots from around the world, the vast majority of which ended up being from OR. This was my wine. I thought it was excellent, and it was my WOTN amid very stiff competition. I thought this showed a remarkable balance between old character and new, with notes of leather and tobacco but also fresh black cherry. Really well balanced, and definitely right in the perfect drinking zone.

(Beaux Frères Pinot Noir Willamette Valley) Medium cherry red color; intriguing baked rhubarb and tart cherry nose; tasty, rich, tart cherry, strawberry and red fruit palate with good acidity; medium finish

This was excellent; perhaps not quite as outstanding as a few earlier bottles, but certainly a return to form after the last one, which was flawed.

Corked slightly protruding and signs of past seepage. Ok on the nose, definitely cooked on the palate. Bummer.
