Am Gaumen saftig, beerig, Sauerkirsche, würzig, fleischig, blumig, mit frischer Säure, schön eingebundenen, seidigen Tanninen und einem würzig salzigen Abgang mit zarten Gerbstoffnoten und enorm langen Nachhall. Noch mehr Zechwein geht vermutlich kaum.

Similar to last time we tasted it: heady nose of dark fruit, some initial volatile acidity that dissipates quickly, leaving earthy undertones of gorgeous brambly berry fruit and a hint of salinity. I do keep shaking my head about why cru Beaujolais still flies under the radar when there are so many talented vignerons producing fabulous wines.

Heady dark blue/purple fruit, a hint of volatile acidity when first opened, which either faded or didn’t matter a few minutes later as this blossomed with air. Terrific mouthfeel, with an undercurrent of earthiness and maybe salinity?
