I don't usually have the same taste as RP...but this wine is the furthest thing from a bottle of $5 Garnacha. Obviously the time in bottle fleshed this out, because it was not thin at all, but brimming with mature red berry, ripe currant, plum and a bit of anise garrigue. Very precise and pure, absolutely delicious...almost like a poor man's Pignan.

Don't agree with RP's great review- seems to be a little thin without much fruit. Some cherries from the Grenache, but it tasted more like a <$10 red table wine.

I had such a tough time analyzing this wine. It's 95% Grenache and 5% Mouvedre and you can't even tell it's there. Half the time it seemed like a thin cheap grenache like you get from Spain for $5. But then at times it was like a delicious old world mineral driven classic. I think parkers 90-94 score was crazy either way.

Some nose. Old school CDP. Decent palate and finish. Nice now.
