Sourly juicy acid is married to red fruits, leather and a huge swathe of umami notes - mushrooms, beef stock, yeast extract- and a bit of horse shit. Probably about all you're going to get out of a 21 year old entry level wine from a reasonably good producer but I'll not begrudge it. Rather nice.

From Coravin. Black tea, earth, leather, dried mushrooms; think Porcini, some red fruits - a touch of sour cherry. Juicy, medium plus intensity acidity, that sour cherry fruit, earth, plenty of spice, no tannins at all, a little alcohol warmth.
