Wow...a 2003 gamay with robust flavor and subtle tannins in 2012. I wasn't expecting much when I opened this bottle but from the first to last taste, a span of 24 hours, I was delighted with or without food. This wine was trying to turn into a Pinot Noir as it aged and it almost got there. With 8+ years in the bottle this Moulin Vent has inspired me to experiment with more Crus Beaujolais that I might have passed over due to older vintage fright of buying a wine past it's prime.

In a beautiful spot; lingering soft tannins on the finish, fine structure, fruit still present; at $4 on closeout three years ago, this was lifetime QPR
