  • Wine spectator had this to say and I agree: "This medium-weight Cabernet delivers lots of flavor and complexity, with a range of cherry, currant and berry fruit that's shaded by light toasty oak. Hints of earth and spice fold in, but the dark fruit dominates the finish, with ample, well-mannered tannins."

  • This bottle was back on form, a pretty, very elegant wine featuring red currant and red cherry notes and bright herbs. This was the last one, nice to finish on a high note.

  • This was not as nice as the previous bottle, though the notes are similar. This one came off as an all-around lightweight, lacking the power or interest of that earlier bottle.

  • Not your typical CA cab: very light on the oak, showcasing cranberry, currant, and even some orange peel on the palate. Not green, but has dried herb spiciness. Tannins are nicely integrated and softened at this point, but the wine retains a very pleasant structure, as much from acidity as from the tannins.
A cabernet that you can drink with food other than steak. Enjoyable. I paid only $20, and am very pleased with the wine at that price, but maybe not so much at the release price. 90+
