  • First bottle of a batch purchased from Garagiste. At home with burgers and salad - Splash decant, drank over an hour.

Dark purple/ruby color. Nose showing dark and blue fruits, oak and vanilla. Black fruits, black cherry, tobacco, hint of floral on the palate. Juicy, big wine. Tannins still present. Full body, medium/long finish.

Still young but showed well. Improved during the time we drank it. A big wine to be sure, juicy, fruit forward, powerful, not for everyone. Classic Malbec, grown at elevation if I recall correctly.

  • Lighter and more fruit-forward than expected.

  • Moderate fruity flowery nose. Full bodied, beautifully balanced, nice chalk and finish.

  • Full musky Malbec nose. Crisp wine still seems young and tight so I will not drink my next bottle for a few years. Well made with nice balance for a 100% Malbec.

  • Although this is still a bit young, a 45 minute decant, along with chicken enchiladas and pork tamales really made this an extremely enjoyable wine. Big, muscular and mouth coating, displays a deep ruby color with purple accents, and a full bodied texture. Leads with purple flowers, juicy black fruits, ripe red fruits, baking spices, fresh tobacco, and chewy cedar mulch mixed with iron infused soil. Structured, but the tannins provide a silky but powerful mouthfeel. Finishes long. Initially a bit closed and disjointed, but the decanting and air really helped this come together. According to the producer site, these grapes come from one of the highest vineyards in the Valley de Uco (1450 meters). Drink now with decanting, or 2023 through 2032.
