Would have rated higher, but over ripe fruit, big in your face wine without balance or elegance, definitely for those who like huge, extracted Cali Cabs.

Smoking good wine. This is the most "non-Bevan" Bevan I've ever had which is probably why I like it. Usually made in a very blackberry, black pepper, sweet and punchy new "New Napa" and "NapaCab" style, this one was neither of the aforementioned. This is a predominantly red fruited wine and was for the 2 hrs it was opened. Black cherry, pie spice, fruitcake, dash of cinnamon and herbs. Some blueberry, spice box and graphite and young saddle leather grippiness is here as well. A touch of green olive present here as well. Finishes with nice acidity and youthful stiff oak tannin. This one has great structure to survive a decade or longer, and it does seem to me that this one will turn to a darker side as it integrates. Finally a Bevan cab I want to buy!!!

Absolutely superb. This wine should be saved to be drunk in 15-20 years.

Delicious despite a bit of an off year in Napa area.

Not the best Bevan I’ve ever had but opened up nicely after about 20 minutes in a decanter. Started off hot. Lots of black fruit.
