Second bottle. Shared this one with friends after a long (say 90+ min?) decant. Amazing what a little rest and air did to round out the thornier structural elements from the first bottle. It also brought out some tertiary aromas of cinnamon and smoked paprika.
This gets a bump to "very good-to-excellent," 90/100 with some upside potential on the next bottle. Will stock up even more at $12 per bottle.

Aerated into decanter at cellar temperature. Pours ruby-garnet with a clear rim. This wine has intensely specific aromas not of place, but of time, with a fall-driven nose of mulled cranberry juice and dried blueberries, woodsmoke, fallen leaves, cooked butternut squash skins, and the occasional whiff of baking spices. Matching on the palate, with a firmish structure driven by medium(+) woody tannins and medium(+), slightly off-balance assertive acid. Finishes medium(+) with flavors of cranberry relish.
This is a very interesting wine which has some technical flaws, but a very compelling personality. Some time in cellar might resolve the structural imbalance. As it is, "very good," 89/100.
