  Solid Costers del Segre wine (subzone Les Garrigues), an Ull de l’Ebre–Syrah–Garnatxa Negra–blend, sourced from the calcerous and clay soils at the foothills of the Prades mountains (province of Lleida, Catalunya). Maturation: aged for nine months in new and used French oak barrels. Decanted: one hour prior to tasting. Color: deep cherry-red with violet edges. Bouquet: aromatic nose with scents of ripe dark berries, plum, cocoa, licorice and some subtle vanilla tones. On the palate: a well-balanced wine dominated by concentrated red and black fruit, a fine acid structure and still quite present tannins. Finish: good lingering aftertaste. Already well drinkable now, but the wine should develop nicely with 2–3 additional years of cellaring.
  
  Degelijke Costers del Segre-wijn (subzone Les Garrigues), een blend van Ull de l'Ebre, Syrah en Garnatxa Negra, geteeld op de kalk- en kleibodems in de uitlopers van het Prades gebergte (provincie Lleida, Catalonië). Rijping: negen maanden in nieuwe en gebruikte Franse eiken vaten. Gedecanteerd: één uur voor consumptie. Kleur: diep kersrood met paarse schakeringen. Bouquet: aromatische neus van rijp donker bessenfruit, pruimen, cacao, zoethout en ook wat subtiele nuances van vanille. In de mond: een mooi uitgebalanceerde wijn, gedomineerd door geconcentreerd rood en zwart fruit, met een fijne aciditeitsstructuur en nog steeds vrij stevige tannines. Finale: lang aanhoudende afdronk. De wijn is nu al goed drinkbaar, maar hij zal zich allicht nog 2–3 jaar verder op fles ontwikkelen.
