  Beautiful color, deep gold with shades of orange, which suggests excellent concentration. Nose of petrol indeed, but very diesel like, which I really enjoyed, along with fruit and floral notes. The diesel element comes to life on the palate. Great, almost excellent, mouthfeel. Good acid and slightly off dry, typical for the region. This wine has some life remaining, but it is drinking beautifully right now. It even improved a bit by the second day.

  I like this wine - but would prefer a bit less sweetness and a bit more acidity, at least tonight. Delightful tropical and floral aromas with peach, a bit of petrol, some minerality. I found pear and peach as well, with a bit of apple. Also an earthy smokiness. Long and delightful finish. This is not boring! It makes a statement of what it is, who made it, and where it's from.

  Birthday Night out (Tulsa, OK): A young, expressive nose with hints of petroleum and tropical fruits with air. Oily and viscous in the mouth, closer to Spatlese than Kabinett. Medium-bodied with exotic honeyed fruits and a lingering finish.
