A guest brought this wine and claimed he didn't maintain great cellaring conditions over the years. We were trilled to see the great condition the cork was in with hardly no wine migration up the cork and not dried out. The wine had a wonderful bricking color. We did not decant. The fruit was mostly gone with some dried raisens and cranberries, had nice mushroom, leather and earthy tastes components. The tannins were all resolved. Fun to drink this older Bordeaux along side the 2009 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars S.L.V. Red Wine Bordeaux style blend.
