Friday Group Brown Bag Tasting (R&R's): Double blind, this pours a light robe and shows aromas of lemon curd, orchard fruit, coconut and honeysuckle. Pretty. Hints of pear and something slightly tropical on the palate, finishing with good length. Guessed Sonoma chard, as did everyone else, so this was a big surprise when unveiled, clearly showing the generosity of the vintage.

Initially, zingy-tingly (technical term) on entry. Saline, mineral and lemon. Dry white peaches, tart, but emphasis is on the stones and saline for this one. Very good now, upside with aging, eminently food-friendly. We had it with roast chicken, a good match.
