-- decanted 30 min. before initial taste -- -- tasted non-blind over 1.75 hrs on Day 1; revisited on Day 3 --
NOSE: very reserved, with light red fruits, stony mineral, and light florals.
BODY: Diam 30 closure. Medium-light to medium bodied.
TASTE: medium+ acidity; red-fruited, with stony mineral; medium-light concentration of fruit; red currants; some drying tannins; reserved, but I like it.
On Day 3 it was noticeably more open, and better. Strikes me as needing a lot more time, so a strong HOLD recommendation here.

Needed a splash decant to open up, but once it did this really delivered. Bright red fruit, a little oak spice, a herbal note and very finely textured tannin. Forest floor started to emerge near the end of the bottle. Ready now.

Initially the wine was really closed, with simplish palate and drying tannins. With more air it opens up nicely delivering a good punch of red and black forest fruit, earth, wood spice and mint. The tannins changed from drying to fine grained, and the wine became richer, riper and more voluptuous and succulent. Overall, it seems like a hypothetical cross of Pinot Noir, Nebbiolo and Blaufrankisch. Highly recommended and with a serious upside potential. A soulful wine!

15 minute decant. I was expecting a richer wine. Nice old world secondary elements and good acidity. I'll decant the next bottle longer.
