Deep amber in the glass. VA is dominant, then you get Brett, so I'm thinking it would've been beneficial to decant this wine. Oh well. Couldn't really find the complexity or interest other tasters were mentioning. The VA isn't giving any "edge" here, it's ruining the wine. After tasting a few vintages, maybe La Stoppa is just not from me.

Very structured, needs air, beautiful nose, candied ginger, orange peel, fruit and nuttiness, with a volatile edge. On the palate it's quite a bit wine, good acidity, good tannin structure, but a rich mouthfeel

Quite tart on the nose, orange peel, pickles and herbs. Palate with an almost medicinal character, nicely complemented by a round tangerine sweetness. Tannins quite forceful.

A private dinner (Restaurant Choux, Amsterdam, NL): Aperol colour with amber reflections; floral Malvazia nose, expressive and pure, dried fruits and white nuts, hints of honey and earth, forest floor, aromatic and deep, slightly yeasty; the palate is both breezy and structured, fresh and relaxed, honeyed and rounded but dry and firm, with explosive flavours; excellent resonance and length. Among orange wines, this is the bees knees. Amazing stuff, successfully crosses the border between white and red, with the complexity and elegance for a high score. Great with food too. Wow. Drink within one hour after decanting.

Smells like feet in the most beautiful way possible. Alot of lambic qualities.
