Who says priorat and montsant can't age! Subtle nose of cloves, pepper, aniseed, mushroom and touch of leather over bright red fruits. Silkiness and elegance frame the core of raspberry and blackcurrant fruit, signifcant presence and still some assertiveness on the finish. Long, lingering. Interesting and not at all porty and overpowering.

This was put into service as a backup. Still a little sediment to decant. Rich small berry dark fruit laced with violet aromas and a lovely silky texture. There is secondary complexity and a nice mineral tinge on the finish. Showing beautifully and i would say Au point. A classy bottle -enjoyed over about 4 hrs and with time more of the mineral and structure became evident. Interestingly i noticed that the label on this vintage said Tarragona (zona Falset) while later vintages are listed as Monstant

100% Granacha. Tannic now. Needs time but has sufficient fruit to age 20 years. Interesting spicey notes. 89-90.
