This is a big scaled Bourgogne with impressive density for its level. It is also very ripe (very 2019) with more than a faint hint of volatile acidity. While I do not have a lot of experience with Berlancourt (and this is my first ever Equinces), it was disappointing.
This is serious stuff - great acidity, penetrating hazelnut, lemon zest, peach and white rocks flavors and a long finish. Solid tension on the mid-palate helps really carry this wine. Pushing 1er quality. Give it an hour in the decanter and serve at 55

Not having had prior vintages, I don't have comparisons at hand - this was great with karaage chicken and it needed an hour to show. Before that, it was too alcoholic. Edit: accidentally left maybe two sips in a glass for a few hours. And HOLY COW! This is the wine you want. Let this stuff decant a while - it gains weight and that mouth feel thing where it's got glycerin going on. Let this sit a bit - I have a feeling it's going to be very successful.

Pretty disappointing considering the pricing on this is approaching PYCM level Bourgogne Blanc. The first thing to hit my nose is paint thinner. There are some good elements present in this wine if you look hard enough, but this is nowhere near as good as the 2018. The previous poster is correct that this is an order of magnitude lower than previous vintages.

The 14, 15, 16, and 18 editions of this wine are flat out stunning. This wine is qualitatively an order of magnitude lower: soupy, hot, undelineated chard. In the past, this wine has been mineral and precise with a subtle and elegant richness. This edition shows none of that minerality, but you see rich ripe fruit in spades. On day 2, you can see solid material under the heat and density, but this is just a poor version of this wine. Disappointing.
