Impressive young beaune. Firm, flavorful and everything you could want in a young burgundy. Drunk over two days. Much more accessible on day 2 when a mix of red fruits, with undertones of earth, spice and black tea started to emerge from the cloak of tannins and acid. Great potential here, and while structured it’s not rough or unrefined.

Huge stuff - would never have guessed Pinot. Drank more like a Napa Cab - with age (!). That's a style I love, so all good by me. Great qpr as well, coming in at around $50.

2018 Vintage at Domaine Albert Morot (Beaune, France): Barrel sample. Brilliant ruby, high toned floral tones and a dash of herbs. Elegant, complex relatively cooler feel for this ripe vintage. Pleasingly puckery red fruit and very good tannic bite. Probably my favorite wine in this line up.
