  • Love this. So feminine and yet powerful in style. The fruit flavor of mature sweet cherry is persistent throughout the palate and finish. The underlaying minerality is stuffed with gunpowder and limestone. Lively and vibrant. Red Chassagne is surely underestimated. I find red Chassagne in style very similar to the best German Spätburgunder – just a level up. To my taste this wine drinks perfectly well right now but can also be kept in the cellar for ages. I had the pleasure 2 years ago to be drinking a 1973 red Chassagne together with Thomas Morey at his domain. Extraordinary. This wine here today; 92-93P
